Congratulations! Your son or daughter graduates in May and it’s time to celebrate. I have composed a list of my top 10 restaurant picks for the Friday or Saturday night of graduation weekend. I recommend calling and making a reservation ASAP so you don’t find yourself sitting at a McDonald’s because everywhere filled up.
Places to eat on The Square
City Grocery is a landmark in the Oxford Square dining scene, and its fine dining makes for a perfect place to gather and celebrate your loved one’s accomplishment. They are taking reservations now for graduation weekend.
If you’re hoping for a really yummy steak dinner, Oxford Grillehouse is your place to go. Its upscale dining experience makes for a great place to celebrate. They are taking reservations, but they only take them for parties of eight or more.
This restaurant is a staple on the Oxford Square. It has great food, great drinks, a great atmosphere and a great view of the square. They are not taking reservations for graduation weekend so going here would be a gamble.
McEwen’s is another great fine dining option when you’re looking for somewhere to splurge for a special occasion. You have to try the sea bass! They are taking reservations and have availability for Friday and Saturday night, but it is very limited.
This is one of my personal favorite restaurants. They offer tasty Italian cuisine, and have awesome, Instagram worthy drinks. They do not take reservations either so it is first come, first served.
Places to eat off The Square
Snackbar has a really great atmosphere and would be an awesome place to celebrate the big weekend. They don’t start taking reservations until 60 days in advance, so don’t forget to call next month!
This is my personal favorite sushi restaurant in Oxford. It is has a casual, yet sophisticated vibe and a delish cucumber mojito. Jinsei does not take reservations.
Grit is located in Taylor, MS so it is about 15 minutes outside of Oxford, but it is so worth the drive. They have a fabulous staff and their sophisticated southern cuisine is to die for. They are taking reservations now.
This restaurant offers a sophisticated cuisine that is made from locally grown food. The chef is truly excellent! Ravine is a really great choice for graduation weekend, and they are taking reservations now.
One of the newer restaurants in Oxford, this steakhouse makes a fantastic steak that will melt in your mouth. They are still taking reservations and have availability for Friday and Saturday.
In close, there are so many excellent restaurants in Oxford that you really can't go wrong with any of these options! I hope this helped make your decision easier on where to eat graduation weekend!
