The holiday season is upon us, and it’s time to go home and spend time with family. For out-of-state students who are flying home, finding a ride to the Memphis International Airport can be difficult. Either their friends cannot drive them, or they are reluctant to ask for such a favor. Luckily, there are multiple services that will transport students from Oxford to the airport in Memphis. These shuttles will pick the students up at their houses, apartments, or dorms and drop them off in front of their airline entrance. Here are just a few of the many different businesses that will take students from Oxford to Memphis.
Students can ride for a price of $80. Departure time must be set to at least 3 hours before the flight, and students must present a valid ID. Rides can be booked online through their website.

Students can ride in a van for $150 or a VIP Suburban for $175. Q’s Taxi is having a special from November 15-18 where students can ride in a 10-passenger van for $75 each if a minimum of eight people ride. Rides can be booked on their Facebook page or by calling (662) 897-0975.

The most notable platforms, Uber and Lyft can also take students to the airport. UberX runs about $102 while Uber XL costs up to $162. Fares for Lyft are between $105-120, and Lyft XL is $160-185. Rides can be booked through the Uber and Lyft apps on iPhone or Android. This price can be split between 2-6 people if your child can coordinate his or ride to the airport with friends!
I hope this list is a helpful resource to help your student find transportation to and from the airport this holiday season. Safe travels!
