A Guide to Thanksgiving Week in Oxford

Thanksgiving will be looking a little different for everyone this year, but Oxford is sure to have you covered with a week full of food, family, and football.


Creating a Thanksgiving menu can be overwhelming and stressful, so why not take a break from all of the cooking this year and have your thanksgiving meal prepared by a chef? There are a variety of restaurants in Oxford offering catering services and a small number will have their dining rooms open on Thanksgiving Day. Here is a list of some Oxford restaurants that will be open November 26th. Their hours are typically altered for Thanksgiving, so give them a call beforehand.

Oxford is not only known for its amazing restaurants. The square is home to some of the best shopping in the state! Stores will have limited capacity for Black Friday shopping and promise to provide a safe environment for their customers. Customers and staff are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing while shopping.

We all know thanksgiving week also means it’s officially rivalry week! Ole Miss will host Mississippi State on Saturday the 28th at Vaught Hemingway Stadium at 3:00. Football tickets are limited, so make sure to buy your tickets early.

Planning a visit to Oxford after Thanksgiving? The annual Oxford Christmas Parade will be changing locations this year and will now take place at mTrade Park on Monday, December 7th. Residents can drive by the floats and performances beginning at 5:30 until 8 p.m. The drive-by parade is a fun festivity to kick off the holiday season with friends and family!
