Football: The Final Countdown

With baseball season coming to an end, only a short period of time remains until football begins. Mississippi State’s first game is scheduled for August 31stat Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, the Bulldogs will have their first home game the following weekend, on Saturday, September 7th, against the University of Southern Mississippi.

If you are a student, make sure you have ordered your student tickets through your HailState Rewards account. If you were enrolled this past spring, you already had the chance to buy your tickets during this past semester. However, do not worry if you missed your chance, the tickets will be going on sale again in August to all students.

Once tickets are bought, students can access them by swiping their student ID at the student entry gate at Davis Wade Stadium stadium. Each student ticket is allowed to bring one guest depending on the popularity of the game. However, for parents I would suggest ordering tickets in advance, especially for any SEC game.

Tailgating is another main factor when thinking about football games. The Junction is the spot for tailgating at MSU, and it always fills up fast. Make sure to have your spot booked with a local tailgating provider in Starkville, earlier than later. These spots fill fast!

Any parent that registers with Parents of MS State is invited to attend any of our parent’s tailgates. Dates are currently being decided, but we will release these as soon as they are final. Hail State and Go Dawgs!
