What's Up in Oxford?

We hope you all are doing well and staying healthy. There are constant changes in the COVID-19 development as we as a nation are trying to keep it contained. As of Monday, March 16th, there are no known cases in Lafayette County. Oxford is doing the best they can to keep people home and safe from the fast-spreading virus.

To receive the most recent information, the City of Oxford has created a website for updates regarding closures, assistance, etc. You can visit www.oxfordms.net or search #ServingOxfordSafely on social media to see what local businesses are offering. You also can reach out to the Serving Oxford Hotline at 662-238-2793 to get more COVID-19 information or to request delivery assistance if quarantined. The Mississippi State Department of Health has also set up a page for future updates or you can call the state hotline at 1-877-978-6453.

There have been changes in most local businesses with some offering delivery, shipping, and curbside pickup to help citizens as we face this pandemic. The City of Oxford announced this morning that they have "Reserved” parking spots around the Square for curbside pickup to encourage patrons to shop local. Just look for the red RESERVED covers on the meters, call the store from which you are making a purchase, and they will walk your purchase out to you. You never have to leave the car!
