Luxuries of living in a college town are vast. From entertainment, restaurant options, sporting events and more, we have lots of options to choose from for pretty much anything. Another true advantage is our medical community in Oxford. Although not officially recognized as a “regional” medical center, Oxford really is. Being 80+ miles from a major medical facility requires communities like Oxford to have specialized physicians and enough general practitioners to be able to serve the local Oxonians, but the college students too. When I started at Ole Miss, a million moons ago, we had only one urgent care facility, maybe 3 general practitioners, three pharmacies (one of which was where Hemline currently is) and one smaller hospital.
Today, your student does have choices and some pretty great ones. If you follow other parents in our social media groups, you’ve clearly heard of Webb Family Medical with 2 locations: one is Water Valley (25 minutes outside Oxford) and its second location just recently opened in Oxford. Dr. Kim Webb is not new to the Ole Miss community but excited to be treating current students and families. She received her undergraduate degree from Ole Miss and completed her medical training at Kansas City University of Biomedical Sciences.
Webb Family Medical’s Water Valley location became an instant hit with students last year upon its opening. Even though it might be a 25 minute drive, its well worth it for her services and to visit the revitalized downtown of Water Valley, rightfully noted in this NY Times article

Dr. Webb offers walk-in availability and appointments in both locations, COVID testing and all three COVID-19 vaccinations in addition to the monoclonal antibodies injection therapy. Her clinic also offers other special medical treatments at her facility, like Botox or IV rehydration.
